Info2000 was founded by Karen Simmons in 1992 as a marketing and business intelligence firm specializing in the AEC industry. According to Georgia Tech, Karen was the first to utilize the Internet to implement an industry-wide, online facilitated focus group. This study, performed on behalf of the Integrated Information Initiative coordinated by The Construction Specifications Institute (now the OCCS), analyzed information disconnects between the various phases pertaining to the built environment and resulted in the development of a unique information analysis technique. The study findings were used to help move the AEC industry towards greater interoperability.

Info2000 works intensely with companies or consultants for specified time periods and with well-defined objectives. Market research and competitive intelligence activities are performed on an as-needed basis. The goal is to increase market knowledge, strengthen in-house capabilities, and reduce the time and costs associated with business and marketing processes.

Policies and Procedures

• A deposit of one third is required prior to commencement of work. Payment must be received in full prior to final delivery of project, unless otherwise negotiated.
• A minimum charge of $50.00 applies to all projects.
• Info2000 uses TraxTime software to maintain accurate records of billable time.
  (charged in 15 minutes increments).
• "Add-ons," rush work, and holiday time will be billed at a 20% premium.
• Office disbursements are billable and "charged back" to the client (printing, press release distribution, freight, etc.)
• If there is a retainer agreement, unused retainer hours do not roll over into the next month except at our discretion. Hours used in a month additional to the retainer are billed at the regular hourly rate for that service.
